Harvest 2022

In 2022 we have harvested 73 Acres and produced 127 metric tonnes of Group 1 Bread making wheat of the Mulika variety.

2022 has been an exceptionally dry year and the lack of rainfall in July led to a lower yield and earlier harvest.

We are utilising the 'Low Input' cereal option under Countryside Stewardship (AB14) so we are happy with the average of 1.73 ton/acre.

As the Yield maps show, there is significant deer damage to large parts of the margins of the crops (red) showing that we need to continue culling the Fallow deer
